A small-scale practical poultry training initiative has recently been launched by AgriDynamic in Cameroon. The training aimed as enabling low educated rural poultry farmers to improve on their current subsistence production methods. 37 farmers have been selected and given the opportunity to participate in a six months training in order to acquire more effective skills and knowledge on organic poultry farming, financial management and sustainable use of manure.

The selected farmers are participating in the establishment of a broiler demonstration unit. This unit makes it possible for them to practice theory, and in the end the unit will financially sustain the running cost of training activities.  This is special in the sense that;
  • It is very practical / local application oriented. Productions is becoming more efficient, effective, quicker return on investments, improved technical/economic results and/or improved quality leading to better marketing possibilities for local farmers
  • Learning by doing. Farmers work individually and in small groups to develop competences most effectively
  • No more theory than required. We focus on what is really needed to realize trainees’ training goals efficiently

In this way we can guarantee that participants will step out of poverty and the economic development of Cameroon will be improved. For more information about this program Gaston G. Ngochembo at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it

In 2008, we realised a training of trainers.

This was a pilot project that is in line with our mission Demonstrator in sustainability

It combines training, capacity building and creativity to get rural people in Cameroon to work on sustainable socio-economical solutions, in order to step out of poverty.

People in the rural areas have always depended on tontine groups for financial resources needed to set up small businesses, cultivate their crops or solve social-cultural issues. Limitations (management, leadership and sustainable business development knowledge) of such groups have a direct impact on the people’s abilities to improve on their standards of living.
In order to achieve the desired result, the training will help rural people to answer fundamental development questions, translated in management process such as:

  • What is needed?
  • What is available?
  • How can available resources be use to get what is needed?
  • And what will happen when the need is provided?
